Control Systems Software Team Leader (SCADA/PLCs)



Control Systems/Software Engineer (Team Leader) - programming experience and a computer/engineering qualification - the Siemens or Allen Bradley ranges of PLCs - Citect SCADA - variable speed drives – leadership skills/experience - offshore oil and gas, submarine telecom, defence and renewables industries - based Northumberland - competitive salary and benefit package



We are looking for a Control Systems/Software Engineer with leadership skills, previous relevant programming experience and a computer/engineering qualification (degree/HND) and/or comparable industrial experience to lead a team of 6.



The SCADA/PLC Engineer/Team Leader will need to be able to design and programme PLC/SCADA control systems for a company that designs, builds and supplies engineering solutions for the offshore oil and gas, submarine telecom, defence and renewables industries



Experience of the Siemens or Allen Bradley ranges of PLCs, Rsview, Intouch or Citec SCADA is desirable as is experience of variable speed drives.



The successful candidate for the position of Control Systems/Software Engineer – Team Lead (SCADA/PLCs) will be involved in the whole software/systems life cycle, from design through to coding, testing, installation and configuration and documentation.



You would be working within project teams and interfacing with hardware engineers to ensure customer deadlines are met.



All candidates should be flexible and willing to travel and work at customer sites onshore/offshore



Also essential is the ability to work under pressure as part of a team.
